2PM – Hands Up

OK, let’s see if I can make this post without completely making jokes about 2PM. They released the MV to Hands Up, the title track to their second full-length album Hands Up.

First off, what’s up with all the Svetlanas in this video? (No offense here, it’s an inside joke among we Hottest. We mean no harm). Now 2PM, if you wanted some Western chicks then you should have called me and #PinkHairNoona. Just saying.

And I guess that 2PM are finally doing this style because Changsung is finally of age. That’s a whole lot of alcohol being shown. The 2PM boys like to get down and dirty, ke ke ke ke.

I have been hearing all this nonsense about 2PM copying Far East Movement and Big Bang. I say bollocks. Big Bang and Far East Movement do have a certain style and sound, but they don’t own said style and sound. If 2PM wants to try out new stuff, be more drunk and dry-hump in the club, well that’s their prerogative.

I, for one, completely love it because they are trying to portray themselves as these “rich boys” (also known as chaebol in Korea), and man is 2PM so not that. They are, by far, one of the dorkiest Korean groups out there, so seeing them like this just makes me laugh. But the song is really good and, hey, they are finally dressed properly. I shall not complain when given this kind of awesome.

Music is all I do: I work in music, I write about music, I listen to music.

@Dani, I know, but I think that they are doing more of this: the alcohol now because they are off age.

Did anyone else think of Lonely Island’s “I’m on a Boat” when Taec is walking by the camera on the Yatch?

    “I’m on a boat, I’m on a boat
    Everybody look at me
‘Cause I’m sailing on a boat
    I’m on a boat, I’m on a boat
    Take a good hard look
    At the motherfucking boat

    JAJAJAJAJA Sorry, I’m a dork.
