Rodrigo: A Life In Music

Following Julyssa and Amy, I’ve decided to give this a shot. It wasn’t an easy task, but it’s always fun to do these lists.

1985 – Dire Straits (Brothers in Arms)

When I lived in the States as a child, my dad listened to Dire Straits a lot and I ended up listening to its. One highlight from Brothers in Arms would be Money For Nothing.

1986: Top Gun (soundtrack album)

Good soundtrack. I really loved Danger Zone from Kenny Loggins, which is my favorite song from the album. Also, the album includes the song Take My Breath Away from Berlin, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

1987: The Cure (Kiss me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me)

I love The Cure and this album is really great. But my love for Just Like Heaven still remains strong.

1988: Metallica (…And Justice For All)

Great album, but more than anything… One. If you wonder how I started listening to Metallica, it all began with ReLoad and while it wasn’t their best album, it made me give them a shot.

1989: The B-52’s (Cosmic Thing)

Songs like Roam and Love Shack might explain why people adore living in the past and refusing to embrace new acts. Why? Those songs were great.

@Julili, Oh you guys are so predictable LOL using all the cool bands xD It was obvious people were going to battle it out for Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Greenday, The Strokes and Coldplay xD

I almost picked Franz Ferdinand’s second album just because I got to sign it.

I’m surprised Rodrigo picked Lily Allen xD – that’s her only good album, no? I almost… ALMOST picked Kate Nash’ Made of Bricks. xD

@Julili, Which albums that I used you cut off from your list?
