Punk in a Nutshell: Interview With Crying Nut

Many bands break up after just a few years together, Crying Nut has been a band for over 20 years now. What do you think keeps you together? Any tips for young bands that are just starting?

Sangmyun Lee: We know we’re not perfect. I’m not a great guitarist.  Our vocalist doesn’t sing well, and our drummer and bassist are not extremely awesome either.  But we work really well together.  We’ve learned that by relying on one another we can make some pretty cool music.  But if one member is missing, things don’t work as well.

Thanks for answering some questions for me! Any last thoughts for your fans that are looking forward to your US performances?

Yoonsik Park:  We’re coming to see you really soon!  Are you ready?  We hope you can come get wild and have fun with us during our upcoming American tour!
