My Ten Favorite Films to Grow Up in the 90s
3. Jurassic Park/The Lost World
Yes, those are Jurassic Park cups.
Spending years of my life wanting to be a paleontologist ?
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Didn’t I mention that I dressed up as Raphael for Halloween? xD
And I freaking found a Latino dub!!!
1. Enter the Dragon
So? I liked Martial Arts as a child. Sue me.
You could imagine little me reciting the dialogue in Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon in Spanish Latino dub by heart. I still know the dialogue (or portions of it) , and I lament that there’s no Spanish Latino dub lying around the interweb. I’ve only been able to find the Spaniard dubbing, which I’m not down with for obvious nostalgic reasons.
The other day my mother told me I should let my nephew watch this. Then, I told my mother that Enter the Dragon has too much adult content, so I doubt my cousin would let me show it to my nephew who hasn’t even turned 6 yet. Plus, I don’t have the dub. LOL I wonder how my parents let me watch this. I know my father is a huge Bruce Lee fan, but the nudity (even if quite brief), the reference to heroin trafficking, iffy dealings, murder and the beat up that Williams got would certain raise… some kind of alarm, no? xD
What were the movies you LOVED to replay on VHS in the 90s?
You can check out some of the other films (and shorts) that I grew up watching on the MUBI list I’ve been curating.
