My Ten Favorite Films to Grow Up in the 90s
7. The Addams Family/Addams Family Values
Kids… they just don’t grow up with the same movies that we did.
The other day Addams Family Values was on, and I watched it to my heart’s content, when my nephew came over. Upon seeing Uncle Fester, he asked, “Is he bad?”
HAS THE PLANET GONE MAD!
I remember my cousin (now in his twenties) and I would watch The Addams Family and would laugh our butts off when Wednesday (Merlina) and Pugsley (Pericles) did Shakespeare with sword fighting and loads of blood.
6. Home Alone
Classic Christmas movie by now.
What little kid didn’t kind of wish to have their homes to do whatever they wanted — e.g. eating all sweets available? Then we would be scared sh!tless when we started to hear strange sounds, and wished for mommy to be back.
To be honest, I know plenty of adults who laughed their butts off when Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern had to make their way into the McCallister’s home. So memories of watching Home Alone is plagued with the whole family sitting around the TV.
