2PM – Hands Up

2PM released their second studio album Hands Up on June 20, 2011. It’s a great development in what 2PM has done so far. This time around the sound is a little bit more fun, with tracks that are a little bit sexier and has a club vibe.

This mini-album — the first after former member JaeBom left the group — is a step 2PM takes to reinvent themselves, with a little R&B mixed with dance tracks. Nothing really stands out, yet it doesn’t really suck.

2NE1 did something that is unusual in the Korean music scene today. They waited a whole year before they dropped their album. In To Anyone, they are fresh, they are tight, they are bouncing!

2012’s 21 Jump Street isn’t exactly faithful to the 1987 television series given that one is a drama and the other a comedy. However, the 2012 film adaptation works well enough on its own thanks to Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.

1911 Revolution

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution, as well as the 100th film in Jackie Chan’s filmography, Chan took not only the starring role in this historical drama, but he also co-directed the film, produced it and even did the stunt coordination.
