Top30 Film Discoveries of 2019

25. The Left Ear (左耳)

ASIANS AND THEIR LOVE DRAMA.

24. Transamerica

I was pleasantly surprised that Transamerica hadn’t aged all that bad. It was an enjoyable parent-and-newly-discovered-kid road trip family dramedy. But the best will always be Dolly Parton’s Travelin’ Thru, which remains one of my favorite tracks of that year’s Best Song nominees.

23. Duvidha

The film was scheduled on MUBI, but it might also be available on Amazon Prime.

22. Lymelife

Lymelife was also available on MUBI.

21. Awaara (आवारा)

YouTube is not letting me embed the clip for Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi, which features the incredible dream sequence with Nargis.
