The Juan-And-Only Award Nominations – 2011 Edition!

It’s that time of the year guys — awards season!

What better way to end 2011 and start 2012 than to make my own crazy award show (without the show)? None. Trust me. This is the best idea I’ve had all year. The Juan-And-Only Awards are brought to you in part by the people who give me money to watch movies and the bloggers who actually care about my film opinion.

The categories include your usual award show bunch, and there are six nominations per category. There are only two exceptions to this — 10 nominations for Best Picture and three nominations for Animated Feature. I will also be announcing one honorary award for Best Animal Actor, which will be revealed when the official winners are revealed.

While the nominations have all been personally selected by me — note the name of the award show, it’s all about me guys — I will be rounding up a small group of people whom I believe are well informed in the film world to place their votes for each category. The winners will be revealed in just a few weeks right here at YAM Magazine.

I love that you said that some films got snubbed hahaha. Anyway, I can’t really comment on anything else since I’ve seen like… less than 40% of your nominees xD

I do think you should have watched Chicho & Rita before making your animation nods LOL – so says the animation authority Amy xD

[…] When I was an eager young blogger and wanted user participation, I set up the Experiment Awards [1]- I got people nominating films and voting. It was actually pretty good, but too much work, and I just dropped the whole idea the following year. I just left it to Juan to do his Juan-And-Only Awards [1][2]. […]
