The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Wonder women of the new world!

MONDAY

Nothing much this day, except for a couple of stuff that’s not actually news, but it’s relevant to my interests~

First, here’s a new featurette of Gravity! Besides showing how the movie was done, it’s also a love fest with everyone praising everyone, specially Alfonso Cuaron… as they should.

And then, here’s an interesting piece trying to predict the box office of 2014 comicbook movies. Yes, it’s very likely Transformers: Age of Extinction will win the box office race next year because people are dumb. The writer is also fairly optimistic about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 though! I kinda wish his expectations for Guardians of the Galaxy and Dawn of the Planes of the Apes were higher though!

TUESDAY

I already posted it on my facebook page but I will post it again! Here’s the Sherlock mini-episode that was a nice early Xmas present! Also, The Personal Blog of Dr. John H. Watson has updated a lot lately, including a post about the video shown on “Many Happy Returns“.

Lynda Carter commented about Gal Gadot taking the role of Wonder Woman and she’s happy for her, and also believes it’s good she wasn’t introduced in her own movie.

I care more about the character continuing than holding on to my piece of it. I hope she has fun with it. […] She won’t have to carry the whole film. It takes the pressure off. I wish her well. I’m just glad she’s going to be out there again. Maybe she’ll get her own show again.

WEDNESDAY

Merry Xmas! But more importantly: Good-bye, Matt Smith! Hello, Peter Capaldi! While the Doctor Who Xmas episode was a hot mess trying to cram everything that happened with Matt Smith’s stint as The Doctor, with poor Clara got Rose’d twice, and Amelia’s appareance totally being shoe-horned, I still felt emotional and Capaldi was awesome on those few seconds he was in~

Fast & Furious 7 officially has a new release date: April 10, 2015. It’s also been confirmed by both Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures that Paul Walker’s completed scenes will be utilised.
