The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: That, my lad, was a dragon

MONDAY

Yay, character posters of The World’s End!

Even if last night the season finale of Game of Thrones was not as exciting as the episode before that, it did had a huge viewership. In fact, it made it HBO’s most watched show after The Sopranos. So lots of people watched Daenerys’ white saviour crowd surf. Yay!

So you know E3 2013 is going on and besides PS4 totally destroying Xbox One, we had lots and lots of trailer for new games. But these are the ones I cared the most because of they are related to my fandoms: here’s the new Batman: Arkham Origins trailer; a teaser trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront, and The Walking Dead: 400 days trailer.

We have more pics on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier [1] and X-Men: Days of Future Past [2]. Seems Cap’s shield got a make-up, but I’m sure it’s just for CGI uses, and also that fierce lady must be someone who Mystique transforms into. BTW, those scenes between Cap and the Winter Soldier? They can be quite homo-erotic!

TUESDAY

Happy Birthday, Jurassic Park. Yes, I can celebrate movie birthdays, or rather release dates~

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer is here and we even have some pictures to show for it!

So rumor has it that J.J.Abrams’s Star Wars will be based on the expanded universe. You know, about Han and Leia’s twins that get trained by Luke… and one turns evil. I don’t buy it yet, but I wouldn’t mind if it where true.

Zack Snyder and David Goyer are definitely back for another Man of Steel movie. Goyer in fact has a huge “3-picture deal he signed at Warner Bros for Man Of Steel, the sequel, and Justice League with Superman”. The writer teased that on the Man of Steel red carpet premiere in NY:

They’ve got a little kryptonite pellet embedded in my heart and if I say anything it will explode, but I would be a very rich man for all the times I was asked that question. It all depends on how the [Man of Steel] does. I would love to see a Justice League film, absolutely. Put the Avengers on notice.

And another game trailer from E3 2013 I’m interested about: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. This is as cute as you expect for LEGO games, and I also Loki is ever after one thing: power… and helmet with horns. The more you know!

Continuing with the theme, we have some LEGO variant covers for many of their September titles~

  1. Rory Kinnear’s a good actor but I can only somewhat see him as the Doctor. Then again, the casting’s always better as a surprise.

I’d like to see Tom Hiddleston’s reaction to the Red Wedding.

aww man all I wish is that Will Graham ends up happy at least one point because oh my gosh everything he’s going through. Hannibal is Worst Friend Ever, besides being a manipulative homicidal cannibal, of corse.

@Diandra Rodriguez, did you see this list for Japanese/Korean actors that could play the Doctor? xD

      • mirella says:

@amy, LOL, that’s totally wishful thinking. The Doctor would only be British. Though I hope for a British man or woman of color for The Doctor~

        • amy says:

@mirella, that totally is, but if accents aren’t a barrier- maybe Joe Odagiri could pull it off. You should totally try to check out Atami no Sousakan.

      • @amy, there are some great choices on that list. although I do kind of think that the Doctor is a Brit alien (haha). Then again, if other Time Lords show up, it’s all open. anyone but us rebellious Americans, heheh.
