The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Thanks for all the feels~

MONDAY

Aw, Sir Ian McKellen will miss The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey premiere in Wellington. Dammit, I wanted the whole cast together! I just loved the cast of Lord of The Rings so much, and The Hobbit is like an extension of it. They just were the best cast ever! Sorry, The Avengers cast… you know I love you!

They released the full synopsis of the Ender’s Game movie adaptation. I await it for the cast and because I liked the story fine enough, even if the author is a douchebag regarding LGBT rights.

Here’s the trailer for Jimmy’s End, first film written by Crazy Uncle Alan Moore. Thanks for the info, Tom Hiddleston! Stalking your Twitter always pays off!

So, there has been rumors about a sequel to the terrible Green Lantern movie (and I am still angry on Mark Strong’s behalf, ’cause he was the best Sinestro!). Marc Guggenheim, one of the writers of that film, has something to say about those rumors:

Absolute bullshit.

LOL, ok, no more Green Lantern movies in the near future.

TUESDAY

Chris Hemsworth talks to MTV about the things he is thankful for this year: three movies and his baby daughter. Aww~ He also says he’s going to have some explaining to do to Jane in Thor: The Dark World:

For Thor and Jane, there are some unanswered questions now, since obviously he didn’t stop in and catch up with her in “Avengers.” Thor might have some explaining to do in this one.

There’s also talk about his future Spielberg project Robopocalypse, and how he would like to do something like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.

Speaking of Thor, there’s extra stuff on the delayed Marvel’s Cinematic Universe: Phase One box set like a showcase for Phase Two and deleted scenes of all Phase One movies, like a variation on the ending to Thor.

So there’s a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia encyclopedia book. It looks so pretty it almost brought tears to my eyes~

Some fan compiled the many trailers and TV spots for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It’s seven and a half minutes of pure awesome:

Benedict Cumberbatch never rests. Continuing his work narrating science documentaries, his new gig is called Supervolcanoes. This 25-minute “unique, immersive experience” was recently featured at the National Space Centre in the UK and is currently showing at the planetarium of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in the US.
