The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: #SherlockLives

TUESDAY

Quentin Tarantino talked about his next film… which will also be a western, but not a Django Unchained sequel!

I haven’t told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It’s a western. […] I had so much fun doing Djangoand I love westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one, it’s like ‘OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing.’

Oh, Jack Gleeson will quit acting after Game of Thrones. Aw, that’s sad, but if it is what makes him happy~

It was always a recreation beforehand, but when I started doing Game of Thrones perhaps the reality was made too real for me. The lifestyle that comes with being an actor in a successful TV show isn’t something I gravitate towards.

Elizabeth Olsen talked more freely about her character Scarlet Witch on The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Specially, which direction to take her, since there’s a lot material to use!

I just love Scarlet Witch. I love her. It’s so funny because I’m often talking about all these psychologically damaged people, but when you talk about Scarlet Witch… She is a messed up lady. She has got more sh*t to deal with than anybody else I know. I’m excited to figure out what’s appropriate to use for her, because there’s so much material from all of these decades, and we’re going to tell this one story. So to be able to choose what you’re going to bring into it from all of this abundance, it’s really fun.

Here’s an article about what can we expect for the Doctor Who Christmas special in terms of plot, villains and how could this be Matt Smith greatest performance as The Doctor… also, Peter Capaldi!

Neverwhere , you know the awesome radio drama with Benedict Cumberbatch and James McAvoy, comes back to Radio 4 for Christmas for all those unlucky fellows who didn’t manage to listen to it the first time around. Also, here are some rehearsal pictures we didn’t see before!

WEDNESDAY

Happy Birthday, Sharlto Copley!

Doctor Who spoilers just because~ I mean it’s not the first time The Sun has spoiled things, and I think Gatiss, Vertue and Gaiman kinda confirming it’s more harming than anything… unless of course some of these spoilers are wrong~ And, I kinda hope so, because some of these spoilers sound terrible! Then again, many times I read spoilers that sound terrible and they weren’t terrible. Just that the person spoiling sucks at story-telling. LOL. Anyway, we’ll have to wait to find out!

Here are lots of lots of new stills of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug! Let me put this one here just because I love Nori’s hairstyle the best of all dwarves… and somehow I like it even more when it’s totally ruined by traveling on a river via barrel~

OK, rumor time! Some time ago Fox wanted to reboot the Zorro franchise and give it a totally different spin. Yup, they wanted a futuristic post-apocalyptic setting and it would have been called Zorro Reborn, with Gael García Bernal as the titular character and directed by Peruvian Ricardo de Montreuil. Now, apparently Peruvian Jason Day (who worked with Montreuil on Mancora) would be Zorro. Movie has been greenlight yet, if evern, but this link provides some concept art as well as GIFs from a screen test. I mean, visually, it looks cool… but yeah.

Poor Japan won’t get Thor: The Dark World until February 1, 2014. Instead they get a beautiful and spoilery trailer that has new snippets! We have a bit more of Hogun, and it seems the Japanese love Loki since he’s all over the trailer~ At the link we also get some costume porn courtesy of Frigga, Odin, Fandral and Sif’s armours~
