The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Oh what a night!

THURSDAY

You know how they were going to make a wax figure of Benedict Cumberbatch for London’s Madame Tussauds? Here are some pics of the progress made. Yep, Benedict, after all it is said and done, you may photobomb yourself~

Sin City’s Devin Aoki won’t be Katana on Arrow anymore and that’s sad. But now The Wolverine’s Rila Fukushima will be and that’s awesome! Aoki has scheduling issues apparently. But hey, we get the best part of The Wolverine… besides the part were Japanese ladies bathe Hugh Jackman!

On Marvel movie news, it seems we could be getting a new Avengers team by the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Also, Marvel ain’t too sure about having Captain Marvel in the film (which was rumored). Black Panther definitely won’t be in the movie, but his country Wakanda will.

Also, the rumor of Joaquin Phoenix being Dr. Strange resurfaces and he could be in “final talks”. Yeah, I’m still not sure about it. Dude is a great actor and all, but OMG he could be so terrible at the press tours!

FRIDAY

Entertainment Weekly has 4 interesting covers for The Walking Dead! It also showed us the firt image of The Wire‘s Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel Stokes, as well as a short interview where the actor, who hadn’t watched The Walking Dead before, did his binge watching~

The binge was intense, man. It was intense. I thought, well it’s a zombie show. It’s a show about zombies. And then I watched and I was like, this show is not about zombies at all, really. The show’s about a whole lot more than just zombies, which I was really excited by.

We also have a bunch of hi-res pictures and some teaser trailers!

Bryan Fuller talked some more about the awaited American Gods TV adaptation. He assured us that they will “the events of the books, but expanding those events”, that they will film in 2015 and we could have it on TV by 2016, that Anansi Boys could be included, and that Neil Gaiman “god damn well better” script some of the episodes!

In the last Joe and Anthony Russo interview of the week, they talked about Agent Carter, and how they are happy it just has 8 episodes because “it’s easier to maintain quality over a lower amount of episodes”. And while they have some input, they are mostly focused on doing the 2 episodes they are in charge with, so they can later focus on Captain America 3.

And that it’s for the week. Before I go, I want to wish Happy Birthday to Rupert Grint (24) Tim Burton (25), Melissa McCarthy (26), Chris Pine (26), Billy Boyd (28) and Quvenzhané Wallis (28).
