TUESDAY
Better late than never! #DonaldGlover4SpiderMan finally worked, and Donald Glover got to voice Spider-Man, specifically Miles Morales Spider-Man in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show! Finally, because Donald Glover’s interest in playing Spider-Man is actuall the reason Brian Michael Bendis created Miles Morales in the first place. The episode, called “Web Warriors”, a dimension-hopping Peter Parker will try to prevent the Green Goblin from collecting the DNA of Spider-Men from parallel universes. Yep, we are getting a bunch of Spider-Men, and besides adorable Miles Morales, we have Iron Spider, Spider-Man 2099 and the Amazing Spider-Girl. Anthony and Joe Russo talked about Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier and Cap’s former BFF, and what issues could be answered in Captain America 3.
Is the Winter Soldier the world’s most dangerous assassin that’s ever lived or the world’s longest serving P.O.W.? Is he responsible for his actions since he was turned into the Winter Soldier, or is he innocent by reason of insanity? Where does this character live now? Is he ever going to be acceptable again to Cap in the way he once was, before he was the Winter Soldier? Those are the really complicated relationship questions and philosophical questions and emotional questions that intrigued us moving forward.
Ridley Scott may be currently busy whitewashing the Old Testament, but he also has “a lot of ducks in a row”, and they include the sequels of Blade Runner and Prometheus. Sure, he first has to do The Martian with Matt Damon, which is slated for November 2015, but both the scripts of the sci-fi sequels are written and ready. Yep, Scott is going to be bussy for a long time~
WEDNESDAY
We have some Pixar pictures! First, the cutest dog for the short Feast, which will come with Big Hero 6, and then we have Riley, the also cute (but not as cute as the dog) girl with the anthropomorphized emotions in Inside Out!
Joe and Anthony Russo has another lovely long interview about Captain America 3, and it has little details here and there like they start filming in April next year, that hopefully they will reveal the full name of the movie before that date, that Frank Grillo as Crossbones will probably be there, and they tease about how Chris Evans contract will be done with then so that could mean either Bucky or Falcon taking over the mantle of Captain America. That part was just joking around though… or is it?!?
There was a second interview where they said that because Guardians of the Galaxy was so successful, it allows them to “experiment more” with Cap and “push some boundaries”. They also loved all the “Hail Hydra” memes, and were a bit awkward about directing Robert Redford because he’s freaking Robert Redford, man! Finally, they do know what’s going on with MCU’s Phase 3, because Kevin Feige has everyone “up to speed on the current drafts of future stuff”.
Jessica Chastain is awesome and complains on why the hell we haven’t got a Scarlett Johansson superhero yet! Yep, another one who wants a Black Widow movie! Sorta~
Lucy, didn’t it beat Hercules by a lot opening weekend, when it was made for a lot less? She shows that she kicks ass, she’s a great actress. Under the Skin is an incredible film, and why are we still waiting for a go-ahead on a superhero movie starring Scarlett Johansson? To me, it’s a no-brainer. You want to make money, put Scarlett Johansson in a superhero movie!”
LOL, there is this rumor that since Green Lantern sucked so much, Warner/DC has a “no joke” rule in their movies. Sure, that’s why that movies failed, because is too funny. And that’s why Guardians of the Galaxy sucked soooo much, right? Because people hate jokes in their superhero movies? Anyway, Seth Rogen said that’s totally untrue. How he knows? Beats me!
