The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Never too old to kick ass

Greetings, fellow geeks! It’s been a busy week, especially for the cast and crew of Kick-Ass 2 whose behind the scenes pictures have leaked all over the internet. But we also have pirates, hobbits, timelords and super-heroes as usual; so let’s begin!

SATURDAY

We got a first look at Joel Kinnaman in full costume as Robocop! Not gonna lie, it looks like the son of Batman and Iron Man’s costumes. But, hey, we also got a licensing banner!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. get interviewed! First we have Agent Coulson, a.k.a. Clark Gregg, talking about how well received his character was, and how it was working with Joss Whedon again in Much Ado about Nothing:

I don’t know. You know, we had a nice date, I hope I end up in a relationship with him. I do, I’m quite fond of him and I really loved his script and I loved working with him, and I was really happy that he invited me to be part of Much Ado.

LOL. Clark really wants me to ship him with Joss, I see.

And now we have Agent Blake, a.k.a. Titus Welliver, whom we can see in Item 47, the short film that appears on The Avenger‘s Blu-ray/DVD. He gets to talk, amongst other things, about his geekiness:

Oh yeah. I was a real fan of Kirby, Romita, Gil Kane, just to name a few. Steranko. Big big fan of those.

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

Stan Lee teases about his cameo in Thor: The Dark World:

You have never seen anything like it. Neither have I. Do not miss it!

Does Stan Lee get to be in Asgard? Or any other realm other than Midgard? Dammit, I want this movie now!

There was a new trailer for Doctor Who‘s new episode… It looks pretty good! Especially since we get to see Rory in his underpants!

And we have a clip for the last episode of Parade’s End *sniff* Poor Chrissy is in trouble!

SUNDAY

Peter Jackson announced will get a new The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey trailer on Wednesday!

First images of Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2 here and here. And while Chloe Moretz looks a tad too old for that role now, some of the things Hit-Girl does would probably be easier to swallow now that she looks older.

Here’s a new Elementary promo!

There are going to be lots of GIFs of this series, right? Oh well, I’m just glad we get more Sherlock Holmes related stuff and I get to see Lucy Liu (and Jonny Lee Miller) on a weekly basis!

Okay… again I was ready to throw down a deep comment but then I saw this:

Unlike Psy, Hollywood does not care for originality and just wants money. There’s talk about a reboot or sequel to Gremlins. And it might be in CGI. Why must Hollywood take everything I hold dear and turn it into CGI?

And there is more bad news… a Beetlejuice sequel? Rumors say it keeps moving forward.

    WWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT?!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Why…. WHYYYY!!!! Is Hollywood purposely trying to murder my childhood? It’s like taking a kid’s favourite lollipop and replacing it with a popsicle stick with a paint-covered rubberband ball on top! My heart… she is broken DDDD:

EFF YOU, Hollywood. BIG EFF YOU.

Having said that… What IS a Cumberbatch???? xD LOL
