The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Leo Meme Lives On!

THURSDAY

Here’s the Marvel 75th Anniversary trailer, narrated by Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso! It gives me the feels and I want it now~

Michael B. Jordan expected the backslash against him being The Human Torch in the new Fantastic Four movie. Seems he totally accepts it, and he’ll just do his job.

It was expected. You kinda know going into it that people are used to seeing something one way, it’s a continuity thing more than anything. People don’t like change too much. But annoyed? Eh, you just kinda accept it, it is what it is. You can’t make everybody happy. You just gotta accept that and know. I’m an actor, I have to do my job.

Idris Elba will be the voice of Shere Khan in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book. I specify Disney, because Warner is also doing their own adaptation, but Disney surely will finish this movie first. Poor Warner needs a new director! Anyway, Jon Favreau will direct the Disney one, and it will also contain CGI.

OK, US finally has release date for Snowpiercer: June 27, and will get the cut version done by Bong Joon-Ho himself. I hope this means, it is ready for the Latin America market too. I still want to see the full original version though.

FRIDAY

Daniel Radcliffe guest-voices in The Simpsons as “a transfer student and aspiring champion in the nice sport of falconry who befriends Bart”. And he does it with an American accent! Here’s a behind-the-scene of that~

Here’s a Benedict Cumberbatch interview, and I knew about most things, except how he manages to be invisible on a big crowd.

If you pick a point far behind them they perceive you as not seeing them, and you’re the obstacle they have to get around. There is a way of just shadowing through. The higher the walls, the more dark the windows, the bigger the sunglasses — the more people are going to look. The greatest disguise is learning how to be invisible in plain sight.

And that it’s for the week. Before I go, I want to wish Happy Birthday to Lupita Nyong’o (1), Javier Bardem (1), Ron Howard (1), Zack Snyder (1), Daniel Craig (2), Miranda Richardson (3), Rachel Weisz (7) and Bryan Cranston (7)!
