The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Leaving early~

TUESDAY

Box Office news! Or rather future box office news~ Everyone knows Avengers: Age of Ultron will make lots of many. But how much money? Well, some think the sequel will debut with around $217 million during its opening weekend in North America. That’s like 10 millions more than The Avengers, which currently holds the record for the highest ever opening weekend. Well, don’t know about those numbers, but I will sure help the international box office!

Shooting news! Andy Serkis has started filming Warner Bros’ The Jungle Book (the one starring Cate Blanchett and Benedict Cumberbatch). Also, Tron 3 will start filming on the (North Hemisphere’s) fall, but will Daft Punk come back for the soundtrack and will we actually see Tron? Finally, Disney insists on making live-action versions of their classic animated movied now with Tim Burton directing Dumbo… and I ask WHY!

Rumor has it that Chris Pine is (once again) linked to the new Green Lantern movie, probable playing Hal Jordan. Guess Chrises are better for comicbook movies? Eh, better than Ryan Reynolds. Still think that Mark Strong was the perfect Sinestro tho!

Here’s a pretty poster of The Flash, awaiting for its March 17 return!

Here’s the first full-length trailer for Daredevil, where Kingpin is a badass, there’s blood and violence, and even references to Iron Man and Thor~

Hiddles will narrate the cutest adaptation of Henry V! Yeah, it’s not a particularly cute Shakespeare play BUT this time is played by kids who perfectly recite The Bard’s words with their squeaky voices! Yep, WillShake aims to open Shakespeare’s plays up to kids by kids take on his famous characters. Of course, Tom Hiddleston is chuffed to be part of it:

With WillShake, Joe Talbot and Emily Blacksell have achieved something wonderful. They have completely reimagined the possibilities for children and their first contact with Shakespeare. Their Henry V film is fresh, dynamic and so lovingly crafted that it’s impossible not to stand up for it. Bravo

WEDNESDAY

Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion, remembered by Firefly, launched an Indiegogo campaign for a new web series titled Con Man. And yes, they managed to reach the goal, in less than 24 hours. Apparently other Firefly alumni will be on Con Man, like Sean Maher and Gina Torres, as well as others like James Gunn, Seth Green and Felicia Day. But, what’s it about? Read this geeky beauty:

Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) was a co-star on Spectrum, a sci-fi series which was canceled -Too Soon- yet became a cult classic. Wray’s good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred in the series and has gone on to become a major movie star. While Jack enjoys the life of an A-lister, Wray tours the sci-fi circuit as a guest of conventions, comic book stores, and lots of pop culture events. The show will feature all the weird and crazy things that happen to Wray along the way to these events.

Here’s an interview with the creators, courtesy of IGN.

Rumor has it that the new Spider-Man could be as young as a 15-years-old. That does not mean the actor HAS to be 14-years-old, but yeah I don’t see many late 20-somethings playing a young teenager. Guess they want a really young actor in order to have Spidey for many years to come? That’s some long-term planning… or wishful thinking!

Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron look quite pretty for a post-apocalyptic world! Here’s the Total Film cover, and also some kick-ass pictures~

Taking about covers, Entertainment Weekly regale us with FOUR Game of Thrones covers, showing the fan favourites and John Snow (Kidding! Or am I?!). Yep, we are getting ready for the series returns on April 12!
