Right now Marvel Avengers Academy is my favourite game and it is quite addictive in its formulaic simplicity. And that’s mostly because of its awesome character designs and great interactions/dialogues between characters. Here we have art lead David Nakayama talked about creating Marvel Avengers Academy’s fun and colorful world… and how the characters’ clothes must be cosplayable!

Fun aside: with each design, we actually ask ourselves “could you cosplay this easily?” as one test of whether the design’s working and feels “real” enough. It’s been really fun to see the designs start to show up at comic conventions — we love it!

We have a the release date of the Batman: The Killing Joke blu-ray and DVD, and it is August 2. Also, the digital release will be on July 23. The deluxe blu-ray edition includes one episode each from The New Batman Adventures and Batman: The Animated Series, a documentary focusing on the film’s storyboards and score, a short that examines the making of the graphic novel from Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, and a Limited Edition Joker figurine.

Lana Wachowski regaled us with a lot of pictures of the shooting the Big Cluster Birthday Bash on the Sense8 Tumblr. So yes, enjoy this lovely depiction of Sense8 Season 2. The pictures also showed Toby Onwumere as the new Capheus, as old Capheus a.k.a. Aml Ameen abruptly left the show over “creative differences”.

To celebrate Star Wars Day, here’s the cool new trailer of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It highlights all the new adventures not seen in the movie, showing some great footage and the original cast doing the voice acting! YES! I am glad, because the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens shorts were cute but those new voices were a bummer.

In a Fandango.com poll, 48% of the moviegoers voted for a Black Widow solo film for Scarlett Johansson. The distant second place, Paul Bettany’s Vision, got 15%. No shit, Sherlock! We have only known that since the first Avengers. At least, the Russo Brothers seem confident that said Black Widow movie will happen.

The Russo Brothers confirmed that Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 & 2 will eventually be retitled, since “the movies are two very different movies”. So, maybe Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War.

According Captain America: Civil War writers Stephen McFeely & Christopher Markus, Marvel Studios will no longer cater to first-time MCU viewers. Sorry, virgin fans!

We had to make a decision early that we were OK losing virgin audience member. If you don’t know some of these movies before you walk in you might be lost, but hopefully you’ll still be entertained. We can’t do a ‘previously in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,’ because it will take 25 minutes. [The MCU] isn’t a new thing, it’s an ongoing story that’s organically evolving movie to movie. In the beginning I think [Marvel] did operate as, ‘If this is your first one, it should be as fun as if it were your third one.’ Its a dense ongoing novel at this point.

Despite MCU’s success, they have one obvious problem. A villain problem. McFeely and Markus talked about it, saying that “early phases were all origin stories”, that “it tends to create a similar villain” and that “Thanos will possibly change that”. Finally they say that they “love the Marvel Netflix shows because you have so much more time to spend with your villains.”
