The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Don’t Touch Lola

MONDAY

Happy birthday to one of my favourite Americans, Stephen Colbert!

Mark Ruffalo says he doesn’t see any reason why he would return as Hulk in The Avengers 2, in fact has no idea there were negotiations or grumblings for higher payments. He also talks about how that cameo scene was done in Iron Man 3:

I saw Robert [Downey Jr.] and he said, ‘What do you think about coming and doing a day?’ I said, ‘Are you kidding me? Bang, lets do it!’ We sort of spitballed that scene, then I came in and we shot for a couple of hours and laughed. I haven’t seen it yet but people seem to like it.

New track Man of Steel soundtrack! Courtesy of Rolling Stone. OK, Hans Zimmer, you are doing great!

Ok, I wasn’t too sure before, but I’m digging these pictures of Paul Giamatti as The Rhino (or rather Aleksei Sytsevich) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Nice underwear, LOL! Also Spidey being your friendly neighbour~

Ok, Joel Kinnaman doesn’t look bad in these Robocop pictures. He still doesn’t look like Robocop though~

Arnold Schwarzenegger will be The Exterminator (LOL!) in the Toxic Avenger remake! Wait, Troma’s Toxic Avenger remake? For real? Wow.

Aaron Eckhart talks about his role in I, Frankenstein… it still seems weird:

The film is about the figure of the monster Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein is in it, so it’s loosely, loosely based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. But then it’s brought into contemporary times in this fantastical world. So it’s a movie about good and evil, about gargoyles and demons, and it’s about a monster trying to find his soul; his place in this world. And he happens to be an expert at the Filipino art of Kali stick fighting at the same time. Which [for those who are unfamiliar] is done with two and a half foot ratan sticks, or any stick you pick up off the street, and it’s being able to dispatch souless people with these sticks.

Best Hannibal TV promo ever (sorry, can’t embed), complete with anime sparkles! Pandering to the fangirls, South Koreans know where is at! Anyone remember the Sherlock ones?

Here’s how Benedict Cumberbatch convinced Peter Jackson to let him do the motion capture for Smaug in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

I went, ‘I know what you’re going to say: I’m a biped mammal, I’m not a serpent with tiny claws or legs. I don’t have a tail, I can’t breathe fire or fly, and the rest of the things that aren’t dragonlike about me. But I do think in my imagination I’ve got something which might at least push the WETA animation into a direction. He went, ‘Come down and play.’

Yeah, now that the cat is out of the bag, here’s the scene with Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan that I liked the most. I just like men crying, ok?

Also, we are totally getting Doctor Who series 8, says Steven Moffat. Not that I doubted it for a second! I still wish for a new Doctor Who showrunner though. Sorry, Moffat, I like you more as a Who writer than as the Who boss.
