The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Do not go gentle against that bad fan

THURSDAY

Devastating news for me. The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes was cancelled. But after sobbing my geeky heart out for the awesome third season that never will be, I realised the promo picture of the new series doesn’t look bad. Sadly, we are down to just one heroine again. Just remember, fellow fans, one of the most awesome Marvel animation lately… I only hope for an awesome season (and series) finale.

Assembled we are strong. Forever fight as one.

Ok, here’s the extented trailer of Arrow, a CW series I will watch because the guy who plays Oliver Queen has a great body… Yes, I haven’t even bothered to learn his name. Yes, I am that shallow.

OMG Deathstroke! Wait, is that… are they recycling the Luther Mansion from Smallville?

In more trailer news, here’s the trailer of Todos Tenemos un Plan (Everybody Has a Plan). What’s special about this Argentinian movie? Not only does it have an interesting premise, it stars Viggo Mortensen… speaking Spanish. Yup.

Once again, Prometheus news… well, not exactly. This is creepy/awesome unused concept art done for the movie. They will appear in the upcoming book, Prometheus: The Art of the Film. Movie artbooks have been so pretty lately, that makes me happy.

Talking about creepy stuff, Stephen King’s It is going be adapted into two movies, directed by Cary Fukunaga of Jane Eyre fame. Damn, Pennywise is back.

Ok, procastinating on Tumblr, I found this (shall we say) essay about the beautiful weirdness that is Benedict Cumberbatch’s face. It is very interesting, but a particular paragraph caught my attention.

In any case, there are plenty of other ways in which Cumberbatch’s face deviates from the norm; his skeletal structure is longer and leaner than the average, he has a combination of masculine and feminine traits (heavy brows versus full lips, for example) and his eyes have a unique upward slant that is unusual in the middle of a gingery Caucasian face.  But more than anything else, it is the dramatically asymmetrical way his face shows expression which makes the subconscious do a double take.

BTW, remember that Brit List special ad? There’s one ad about Benedict Cumberbatch… He gets compared to an otter, again. Thanks again, Tumblr!

I really, really need to watch this countdown.

Firstly… HOMG JUDGE DREDD’S COMING BACK?!?!?!?!? *fangirly spazz fangirly spazz*

Secondly, Morgan Freeman = BAWS… FACT!

Thirdly, they’ve already done a mad for TV remake of It and the original was just a waste of life and oxygen (I mean, after you get over the mental paralysis of seeing a creepy ass Tim Curry playing Pennywise the Clown). I HOPE this adaptation isn’t a steaming pile of whodunit!

Yet again, your fangirliness has given me much to squee (and this time, lament) over. LUFF YOU!!!
