The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Do he got a booty?

THURSDAY

The latest Avengers: Age of Ultron is perfection and way better than the second trailer AND the Ant-Man trailer (sorry, not sorry). It showed much of the action and fun you expect to see in the movie. And lots of new footage. Lots! I know I already posted it in my facebook but OMG! Also, totally confirms Iron-Man is the dad and Captain America is the mum. Finally, Pietro has a cute accent and we have yet to hear Wanda talk~

Captain America: Civil War will start shooting in April 1st! But are they serious of giving us a stealth prank! First, the synopsis revealed!

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

In more “nobody asked for this” news, The Brothers Grimm are getting a TV series. Or at least, one is being developed. The original movie starred Matt Damon and Heath Ledger and had a decent box office.

The new television series will follow the swashbuckling adventures of brothers Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, who discover startling mythology and supernatural stakes behind the folklore sweeping 19th century Europe.

Finally, let’s watch these two fine specimen of men, The Rock and Jason Statham, fighting in a scene from Furious 7! Yeah, they are the reason I will watch this movie~

FRIDAY

Here’s the teaser trailer of the live-action movie of Attack on Titan~ Looks decent but I am still not sure of it. Live-action adaptations of anime/manga are so often hit or miss. The first of the two-part series (yes, we will get two movies) will be released August 1, and the second on September 19.

Sony working on a new Romeo and Juliet movie called Verona… with a “300-style”. As much as I liked 300 and as much as I love Shakespeare, I am OMG WHY! OK, fine this could be a case of two great things that don’t taste great together. And I do like slo-mo. Still, color me nervous.

Exact details are being kept more clandestine than a love affair between two teens from opposing Italian families, but the script is said to reimagine the classic love story through a lens of an epic, 300-style world.

We might have The Rock (as Black Adam obviously) in Justice League or so Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson himself says~ Well yay! And at least it’s not in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, because for cluttered superhero movies I got Captain America: The Winter Soldier~

Avengers rumors! Seems one of the Avengers might die in Avengers: Age of Ultron. And it’s the freaking brand new one, Quicksilver. I mean, the hell! All the posturing between Fox and Disney for the character and in the end it’s just used in one cool scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past and now kicks the bucket saving a fellow Avenger in Avengers: Age of Ultron. I hope that rumor is a big fat lie! Anyway, the new roster might be “Captain America and Black Widow along with The Falcon, Scarlet Witch, The Vision, and War Machine”. Thankfully, others have said that the rumors of Quicksilver dying are greatly exaggerated (maybe he dies just for a second, enough to make Wanda fucking pissed, and then he gets better?). Also, it is true new Avengers are needed because most of the important ones are gone: “Iron Man is done, Hulk is missing and Thor has returned to Asgard to deal with the events leading up to Thor: Ragnarok.” And MCU could have its own Wasp with Hope van Dyne! Also, despite all the cluttering, The Winter Soldier will totally play a key role in Captain America: Civil War, which I totally hope so! That’s what I was promised before they turned the movie into Avengers 2.5!

Finally, one of the best news this week: new Thor is outselling regular Thor. It also helps, that regular Thor ain’t dead, just unworthy and shirtless wandering around all morose and doing a crappy job at being Sherlock Holmes in order to resolve the mystery of Who Is The New Thor?! Also, new Thor is capable, Mjölnir and Freyja like her and I love her inner monologues.

And that it’s for the week. Before I go, I want to wish Happy Birthday to Billy Crystal (14), Michael Caine (14), David Cronenberg (15), Glenn Close (19), David Thewlis (20) and Freema Agyeman (20).
