The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Brits in Jags!

THURSDAY

Here are a bunch of characters posters of The Expendables 3. I like ’em because many of them just look so damn happy to be there. And they should! Expect for Bruce Willis who wanted more money and is now long gone. Dumbass. Still like you though! And here are the posters of the new characters that matter to me, and also my favourite characters are already part of The Expendables~ And one of these things is not like the other. Has Kelsey Grammer ever been in an action movie? Nope, X-Men: The Last Stand doesn’t count an an action movie, even if it has plenty of action.

Yay! New trailer of Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor! Don’t know this Talion dude, but he looks awesome!

Talking about Tolkien stuff, sorta since he is the hobbit in The Hobbit, Richard Armitage had fun with Martin Feeman during the filming of said movies because of his kung-fu moves! Dude seems confused about ninjas doing kung-fu though!

He was just very good at being a little ninja Bilbo. Behind the scenes he’d have a little crack at everybody who was a bit bigger than him but he’d try his kung fu ninja moves on everybody which always made me laugh.

And to continue on with this hobbit, Martin Freeman will take now on a Shakespearean role! His first one, btw! And he will be Richard III from July to September. Did he and Benny Batch made a pact to work on plays by the Bard?

FRIDAY

Rumor has it that Chiwetel Ejiofor might be up for a villain role in James Bond 24. I don’t remember watching Chiwetel as a villain, so that could be a nice change (for me).

Kevin Feige brings more light to that hint of Stephen Strange in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Is the next Sorcerer Supreme? Maybe not!

The whole thing, what Sitwell’s saying is, this algorithm is going to predict if you’re going to become a problem for Hydra or not. So you don’t have to just be Tony Stark, actively plotting to save the world. You could be a kid whose SAT scores and whose essays have indicated that you’re going to be a problem one day. So is Stephen Strange the Sorcerer Supreme? Probably not at that point. Is he an unbelievably talented neurosurgeon who’s opinionated and kind of arrogant? Probably. That might put him on the list.

Chris Evans is finally now in South Korea filming Avengers: Age of Ultron, and not a stunt double doning the suit. He’s also quite glad to go back to the Marvel team because they actually make good movies. Ouch to Fox, I guess!

It’s nice to know that you are making something good. I have been part of plenty of movies where you start filming and you [wonder], is this going to be good? It’s not easy to make good movies. If it were, there would be a lot more of them. There’s a real sense of comfort and confidence not just in Joss [Whedon], but in the whole Marvel clan. A sense of comfort that what you are working on and what you are giving so much of yourself [to] is going to pay you back with a quality film.

Talking about stunt doubles, here’s Scarlett Johansson’s with the Black Widow suit on Avengers: Age of Ultron set. Guess pregnant ladies shouldn’t ride motorcycles!

And that it’s for the week. Before I go, I want to wish Happy Birthday to Lucy Lawless (29), Marina Sirtis (29), Ewan McGregor (31), Christopher Walken (31), Asa Butterfield (1), Michael Fassbender (2), Clark Gregg (2), Cobie Smulders (3), Hugo Weaving (4) and Robert Downey Jr. (4)
