The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Bombshell force!

MONDAY

Ryan Reynolds now has an Instagram account, and I only care about his new Deadpool pictures… like this awesome one:

Captain America: Civil War is going to have a funeral scene. Could have been Cap, but since he was at the funeral then nope. Probably Peggy Carter. Girl is old and that’s totally a Union Jack over the casket. That’s not to say Cap couldn’t die for a while there. This is Civil War after all!

Stephen Amell talked about his character Casey Jones, which has a bit of an origin story in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

When we meet Casey Jones, he is not necessarily the butt-kicking, vigilante shadow-of-the-night that he may eventually become. As a result, the fighting style for me is much different. It’s much more take many more risks. It’s much less calculated. It’s just beating guys up with a hockey stick.

Sherlock Series 4 will start filming in Spring 2016 (that is the North Hemisphere Spring). I guess we were all expecting that considering both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have a lots of work now! Seems Sherlockers remain the Fandom Who Waited.

TUESDAY

Another rumor that might become true. Eddie Redmayne is officially in talks to be Newt Scamander, the lead character in Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Morena Baccarin is now a regular on Gotham as Dr. Leslie Thompkins! Poor Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) though, they did her so dirty. How are they going to explain Barbara Gordon (a.k.a. Batgirl) later! They have to write her better! Or is Gordon actually going to marry her as she is right now? Or is he going to name his kid after a crazy ex girlfriend?

Just like the first season, Agent Carter Season 2 will air during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s mid-season hiatus. This new story will take place in Los Angeles though. I guess S.H.I.E.L.D. itself won’t be founded yet!

Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

Rumor has it that Selma director Ava DuVernay is being courted by Marvel to direct either Black Panther or Captain Marvel. Well, I guess she would fit for one of Marvel’s more “diverse” superhero movies.

And the cat is out of the bag. The final page of Thor #8 leaked, and showed the identity of the new female Thor. And it’s Dr. Jane Foster. Friend and sometimes lover of regular (now unworthy) Thor. Also, it seems being Thor ain’t good for people with cancer.
