The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Are you ready for this?

TUESDAY

The day started with Tom Hiddleston narrating an interactive tour of the Crimson Peak mansion. Well, mark me down as scared and horny~ Also, I need more 360 videos of geeky stuff in my life!

There’s something we who have watched Ant-Man wonder… and that is, where the hell are we going to watch Hope Van Dyne as The Wasp?! Well, it’s not going to be in Captain America: Civil War! Sure, everybody and their dog is in Captain America: Civil War, but not The Wasp, no siree, says Kevin Feige.

She was included in early versions of Captain America: Civil War but there are so many characters in Civil War that we didn’t want to do her a disservice, like she flies in, ‘I’ve got the costume now’, and she flies out. With Ant-Man, and I’m not saying that’s what Ant-Man does in the movie, but we already know him, we’ve already seen him. We haven’t seen her as Wasp and we don’t want to rob the opportunity of seeing her in the outfit for at least almost the first time, and seeing her dynamic with Scott in a way it could play out, so we’re saving it. But its going to be in Phase three for sure.

Agent Carter showrunners talked about Season 2, and its influences seem damn awesome!

It’s still fun, and it’s still intriguing — part of what we’re looking at as touchstones like L.A. Confidential or Chinatown. What I love about those stories is you start with one little crime that doesn’t seem to be anything. And then as soon as you start to dig into it, you find this whole web of conspiracy. It just lends itself so great to ten episodes, and you really kind of get into some interesting places.

Here’s The Muppets‘ 10 minute pilot shot “documentary style”, like The Office! And it’s so perfect and precious and I love it and I want more now!

WEDNESDAY

Well, it’s done. Jurassic World is now the third highest-grossing movie of all time! Only Titanic and Avatar made more money. And damn, someone really must take that record from James Cameron! I am counting on you, Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Disney’s D23 Expo schedule has been revealed, and of course it features Star Wars, Captain America: Civil War, live-action films like Alice Through the Looking Glass and The Jungle Book, Pixar’s upcoming The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory and Disney Animation’s Zootopia and Moana among many other things. And because the cannot seem to let it go: Frozen FANdemonium: A Musical Celebration!

Here’s the first promo of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. It’s very short but it’s a first real look! The show will premiere on September 25, with a sneak preview on September 5, on Disney XD.

Arthur Darvill talked about his first experience in American TV, how he got the part of Rip Hunter in CW’s Legends of Tomorrow, and what does he like about his character:

There are elements to his character that are really intriguing, and I think you’re going to be surprised by him. And the physical stuff, I want to do as many of the stunts as possible, and I’d like to do a bit of fighting. I’ve been beaten up a few times but never managed to be the beater! [Laughs] It’s not in my nature … Rip Hunter makes things happen rather than reacts to things that are happening, and that’s a big thing. That was the main reason I wanted the job.

Here’s a new trailer for Fargo Season 2 ahead of its premiere this September. It’s our biggest look yet at the new season, where we have a better look at the 70s setting as well as the new cast that includes favs like Patrick Wilson, Bruce Campbell and Kirsten Dunst~

And on unexpected news to leave us to speculation: Warner Bros. and Lebron James have made a deal to develop projects in television, film, and online content. And for some people this means…. LEBRON JAMES COULD BE IN SPACE JAM 2! But we are not quite welcome to the jam, since it hasn’t been confirmed yet. So now we wait.
