The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: All your lists are belong to us!
THURSDAY
Empire Magazine keeps bringing the fun lists! This time: the spoilers of the year, with lots of movies I liked… and Twilight.
I knew this was going to happen, but it still hurts: Hiddles ain’t sure Loki will come back in The Avengers sequels. Well, it was logical I think. As much as I love Hiddles, he cannot be the baddie in Avengers movies forever. Though depending on how Thor: The Dark World Ends ends, Thanos may be looking for him. The Infinity Gauntlet was still in Asgard, right? God, I am such a nerd.
OMG William Shatner in Doctor Who? As The Master? So cracktastic I love it! Matt Smith definitely comes up with the most interesting/crazy Who suggestions!
FRIDAY
‘Cause I will never not love conceptual art… also The Avengers~
Top Ten characters of the year by MTV! I like them all except for 3 and 8. I love how much MTV loves Tom Hiddleston and Loki~ Dont believe me? Tom is also in the best moments of After Hours! Again Loki’d was a favorite because Hiddles, in a brilliant moment of improvisation, called his fake moustache “Wendy.” The rest is fandom history~
According to Benedict Cumberbatch, his baddie in Star Trek Into Darkness attacks the good guys in physical and psychological ways.
JJ described the role in movie terms as a mixture of Hannibal Lector, Jack in The Shining and The Joker in Batman.
OMG Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods new trailer! Kame Hame Haaaa!

And that’s it for the week! Before I go A sad-off! With Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway! Django Unchained vs. Les Misérables! Or as I see it, Nick Fury vs. Catwoman. Just remember, nothing says Christmas like slaves and whores!
aw man Marceline and Lizzie Bennet and all the geeky things
@Diandra Rodriguez, Duuuuuude, the Marceline & Ice King song killed me! KILLED MEEEEE!!!
This magic keeps me alive //
But, it’s making me crazy //
And, I need to save you //
But, who’s going to save me? //
Please forgive me for whatever I do //
When I don’t remember you //
@mirella, tearrrsssssssss
“Top Ten characters of the year by MTV! I like them all except for 3 and 8.”
What’s wrong with Matthew McConaughey (Magic Mike) and Ezra Miller (Perks)? Both were easily the best parts of the movies MTV ranked them. Is it because they’re not geek-friendly?
@Rodrigo, exactly XDDDDDD Also both were pretty “meh” for me.
@mirella, Still better than nearly everyone in The Hunger Games. Considering this is MTV, I’m surprised they managed to ignore the people from The Hobbit (great film, btw) or Twilight (whom MTV sucks dick to).
Oh wait, it’s a Top 50 ranking. Joe (Looper), Silva (Skyfall), Bilbo (The Hobbit), Calvin (Django Unchained) are a bit too low in this last. And the likes of Snow White (Huntsman) and Arthur Kipps (The Woman in Black) shouldn’t be there, lol.
@Rodrigo, @Rodrigo, Yes about The Hobbit. I guess it was too soon for they to chose one character? I’m surprised about their lack of Twilight too even if I don’t give a fuck about that franchise :P
@Rodrigo, I would vote Ted off the Top10, push Silva up and kick Snow White out to include Theron’s Evil Queen instead.
@amy, Speaking of voting people off the Top 10, Loki needs to be lower — Silva shits all over Loki literally as a villain — and I’d add either Joe or Cid from Looper.
@mirella, Freeman’s Bilbo and a Twlight character appear lower in MTV’s ranking. But characters from Django Unchained are there and the film premieres on Christmas. I’m sure MTV has passes to see films in order to put them there.
@Rodrigo, Oh, I didn’t mean they mean they haven’t watched The Hobbit. Just that the buzz for those characters ain’t that hight yet, because they movie has only been there for a week. I’m guessing the lists is not only about MTV’s dudes personal favourites alone but also what generated more buzz on their sites. I guess while Twilight was a good buzz generator in MTV, the dudes doing the actual ranking didn’t like it that much XD
