The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: A series of fortunate news!

TUESDAY

Here’s the first teaser for Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, which will come to the streaming platform on January 13. It includes Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket breaking the fourth wall. Also, Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Count Olaf, can be heard in the background at the end.

In other Netflix news, Iron Fist also has a release date now: March 17! We are getting 13 one-hour episodes, and Jessica Jones star Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise her role of lawyer Jeri Hogarth.

But the release dates don’t stop there! Disney announced that the live-action Mulan film gets a 3D release on November 2, 2018.

On more Disney news, check out this seriously cool Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Russian poster that I wouldn’t mind hanging some place at home. There are also Topps trading cards with many new character images, and a couple of new aliens.

WEDNESDAY

Do you want to know how Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron made it out of Jaku when the TIE fighter crashed and Finn thought he died in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Well, if you had read the novelization, you would have known! That said, you could also play the latest DLC for the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens game, titled Poe’s Quest For Survival.

Keeping up with the Star Wars theme, here we have three actresses that could take the female lead in the Han Solo film: Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott, and Zoe Kravitz. Considering they are all women of color, it’s a possibility that they could be playing the role of Sana Solo, Han Solo’s wife in the recent Star Wars comic series from writer Jason Aaron and artist John Cassaday. They were married as means to an end for a job the two were working in, according to Han, but Sana doesn’t see it quite like that.

Hugh Jackman revealed the official name of Wolverine 3, and it’s just Logan. Yep. It was shared in poster form on the side of a New York building. Then director James Mangold revealed the official poster image and a picture of the page two of the screenplay. Fans are already speculating what the title means, probably referencing Old Man Logan, and who’s the child he’s holding hands with in the poster, probably X-23 or Daken or another clone or one of his kids from Old Man Logan.
