Julyssa’s Jukebox – Summer Party Edition

Hey, YAMMies~ I am off to Rome for a week. A bit of an involuntary vacation as well as a pre-celebration for summer. I think that when it comes to music, summer is my favorite season. So many dance tracks pop up and there’s loads of great music to dance to.

So before I leave for Italy, just wanted to list some great summer tracks that I think are going to become hits.

1. Funke feat. Etzia – Wistler

2. M.I.B. – Celebrate

3. Mackan & Carli – Du Och Jag Mot Rös

4. Shakira – Addicted To You

5. Michel Teló – Ai Se Eu te Pego

I know this song is from last year but it’s still mad popular! And you can’t but start to sway along once it starts. It’s kind of like the new Macarena just more chill. I wonder how long it will take until the hype for this song dies down, but for now we shall all butcher the Portugese language as we try to sing along.

Music is all I do: I work in music, I write about music, I listen to music.

I have issues with you liking Shakira’s Addicted to You, and Ai Se Eu te Pego LOL

@amy, The Shakira song is the only one I like and not because I’m familiar with Shakira (and because she’s fuckable). It’s because the song is the only one that could make me wanna dance while sober. Although I only heard it a few times, IDK if it’d get stale later on. I hope radios avoid it here if they can.

The first song is alright. The rest, I really hate them.

@amy, I love it when Shakira goes all salsa on me oki? I prefer her in Spanish and I don’t care in what form it comes.

With Teló… well I have a thing for Portugese you know? And the song is cute in that silly kind of way. Also, it’s being played everywhere here in Sweden. I am as strong as the power of what the radio sends my way.

“You need to let go of the hatred Rodrigo. It will give you liver cancer. Also, stop swearing so damn much.”

So now I know that you enjoy Telo’s song. But it’s still a painful song. BTW, how do you feel about the English version of the ASETP song? :P
