Amy’s Top50 Songs of 2015

10. Adele – When We Were Young

And old feelings were had.

9. Imogen Heap – Tiny Human

8. Monsieur Periné – Incendio

Rodrigo and I were all super excited about Monsieur Perine’s nomination at this year’s Grammy Latino for Best New Artist, even more psyched about them winning! The cherry on top is that their latest album, Caja de Musica, has been nominated for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album for the upcoming edition of the Grammy. I don’t know how Monsieur Perine fits in there, unless they’re seeing it as “alternative” xD.

Having said that, Incendio was my favorite track in the whole album since it actually bridges their new sound to Hecho a Mano with that killer Latin Swing fusion. Lead vocalist Catalina Garcia kills it.

7. Sa Dingding (萨顶顶) – Play (大小孩)

Definitely MY favorite track of the whole album. According to the description, the song is based off different folk songs– two Tibetan folk songs, a Han 1950s folk ballad, and –it certainly was!!– an Indian folk song, which is attributed to Gaurav Raina. The track was produced by Sa Dingding and Karsh Kale.

If the copyright is all weird, you can try listen to it on Xiami.

6. Gesu no Kiwami Otome (ゲスの極み乙女。) – ROMANSU ga Ariamaru (ロマンスがありあまる)

My most favorite new band this year.
