Baby & Me

Original Title: 아기와 나 (Ahgiwa Na)
Release Date: August 14, 2008
Director: Jin-Young Kim
Screenplay by: Seong-Min Lee, Choi Won, Jin-Young Kim
Cast: Geun-Suk Jang, Byeol Kim, Mason Moon

Where Geun-Suk Jang plays your typical 19-year-old delinquent playboy that one day is left home alone for the week. While grocery shopping for his upcoming house party, a baby is left in his cart. The note says that the baby is his and suddenly his playboy days are over.

Baby & Me is so damn cute and funny. The interaction between Geun-Suk and baby Mason, the hilarity of trying to find the mother, how he ran around half of Seoul trying to get some fresh breast milk for the baby.
It’s a comedy yet you feel for Geun-Suk — he has to suddenly grow up and take care of a child while not wanting to give up on his bad boy ways.

Sadly, there was some logic mishaps towards the end. And, sure, the movie is not overly serious, it’s a silly little comedy that’s not here nor there.

Sure, had the end been a little bit more logical and not so rushed, this would have been a great movie. But I kind of guess this was just a way to showcase a whole lot of cute.

A light-hearted comedy that makes you laugh and has loads of eye-candy: how cute is baby Mason?

Rating: ★★½☆☆
