Here’s the second trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. Unlike the first teaser trailer, the second trailer makes it easy to see what the film is going to be about.

The second trailer shows the build-up of the romance between Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), George Stacy (Denis Leary) being against Spider-Man and the confrontation between Spider-Man and The Lizard.

Also, Peter finds a briefcase that belonged to his father and begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance — leading him to meet Dr. Connors (Rhys Ifans).

Directed by (500) Days of Summer‘s Marc Webb and with Steve Kloves (Harry Potter) as the screenwriter, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released on July 3,2012.
