Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Teaser Trailer
The day finally came. Those of us eagerly waiting for the teaser trailer on The Last Jedi panel livestream at Star Wars Celebration, got what we wanted… and a new poster too!
This is a damn good teaser, starting with great music choices, contrasting the Light and the Dark sides, and good footage that hardly reveals anything from the plot. Rey’s Force training already looks more existing that Luke’s. Sorry, Yoda. It’s just that the imagery of little pebbles floating is so attractive to me, and I blame anime in general and Dragon Ball Z in particular for that. We have lots of battles and new ships! Kylo Ren’s scar looks great, First Order’s bacta is top quality! The glimpse of the back of Leia’s regal head made my misty-eyed. Finally, Luke’s last words are related to the title, and we can infer that it means a new era of properly balanced Force users. Because, frankly, some of the Jedi teachings sucks. But the Dark side ain’t much of a choice either.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson and stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.
