Star Trek Into Darkness Teaser Trailer

So it’s not the full trailer that you’ll see with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (as well as some footage), but it’s the most we’ve been given and I am enjoying! The teaser trailer of Star Trek Into Darkness doesn’t give much away, except Benedict Cumberbatch is narrating (excellent choice!) as the yet unnamed villain who is on a vengeful crusade for some reason:

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Simon Pegg, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film premieres on May 17, 2013 .
