I had no idea Tom Hanks was going to be directing a movie with himself and Julia Roberts, with a script written by himself and Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
Tom Hanks plays Larry Crowne, a man who’s lost his job and decides to go back to college, where he meets the teacher (Roberts) of a very useful/not-useful subject.
I know a lot of you probably hated My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but I kinda liked it more than I care to admit. I like Nia Vardalos quite a bit, and it’s pretty exciting her script has Julia Roberts. Rounding put the whole cast — Taraji P. Henson, Bryan Cranston, Pam Grier, George Takei, also Nia Vardalos, and… okay, Wilmer Valderrama. I kinda hate him a lot, but I haven’t been overexposed to him like I have Ashton Kutcher, so fine. I’ll take it.
Larry Crowne is set to open July 1st… against Transformers 3.
this looks like it will either be really great or really shitty. that being said, I fucking love (yes, the cursing is so necessary) My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

The great thing about MBFGW is that the family is like every single family! So relatable! LOL I always quote that “every word is greek” bit

also, since I’m a vegetarian, my dad likes to joke around and go, “what do you mean you don’t eat meat? that’s okay, I make lamb!” all the time.

Oh, well… this seems like the kind of movie I might watch when it airs on cable.
