Hercules (2014) Trailer

The trailer for Hercules with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the title character has made its way online.

Hercules is directed by Brett Ratner, produced by Peter Berg and it is adapted from the comic books by Steve Moore and Admira Wijaya about the mythological warrior. In this version, however, the muscular demigod has fallen from grace, following his completion of his famous 12 Labors. Hercules now spends his days traveling Greece with his five most loyal companions, who together work as mercenaries-for-hire seeking gold (and little else).

As glimpsed in this trailer, Hercules has to battle a dangerous warlord and his vicious, bloodthirsty army, in order to defend the King of Thrace and prove that he’s truly worthy of the legends to his name.

The supporting cast includes Ian McShane, John Hurt, Joseph Fiennes, Rufus Sewell, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Rebecca Ferguson, Peter Mullan and relative newcomer Irina Shayk.

Hercules premieres on July 25, 2014.

  1. I’ve been hunting for any stills or footage of Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Atalanta but found nothing yet. That should be a cool role even if the movie isn’t good. Hoping the awesomeness of Dwayne Johnson overpowers Ratner’s faults.
