Happy Feet 2 Teaser Trailer

The penguins are back and they’re bringing the FluffyBack. In 3D.

Following the successful Happy Feet, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2007 beating Pixar’s ruling — which was competing with Cars that year (we’re smelling something there) — Happy Feet Two follows Mumble’s baby penguin, Erik (Elizabeth Daily), who can’t dance. Instead he meets flying ‘penguin’ The Mighty Sven.

Elijah Wood is back to reprise his role as the voice of Mumble, Robin Williams will once again voice Ramon and Lovelace, while Pink will be taking on the role of Gloria — previously voiced by Brittany Murphy. The cast is rounded out with the voices of Sofia Vergara, Hank Azaria, and the special appearances of Matt Damon and Brad Pitt as The Krill.

Happy Feet Two opens on November 18th in the United States.

With any luck, Academy votes won’t be the worst people in the world and this won’t be even remotely close to being included in the nominations. I hope it stays nice and pure with Rango, Pooh, and Tin Tin.

@Juan Barquin, Have you seen Tin Tin already? Motion capture always gives me the creeps, but I wanna see it because of the people involved… and because it’s Tin Tin XD

      • Juan Barquin says:

@Mirella, I haven’t but I’m really excited for it after seeing the trailer in theaters and because it’s Steven Spielberg – a man who I’m pretty much in love with.

    • amy says:

@Juan Barquin, LOL. Did you like the first Happy Feet?

I’m not exactly sure about Tin Tin, I’ve never really been a huge fan… and the visuals on the computer look weird… but it may be one of those “looks better with a darker 3D in the theater” kinda thing, like with Avatar xD

      • Juan Barquin says:

@amy, I’ve never really known all that much about Tin Tin, but Spielberg and Moffat together cannot physically do wrong. And yeah, I wasn’t too sure about the trailer online, but seeing it in 3D while in theaters – I was really pleasantly surprised and excited.

  2. Joel Burman says:

I liked the first Happy Feet especially the darker part toward the end (kind of Watership Downish…) but I get all emotional knowing that Brittany Murphy won’t be in this one.

    • amy says:

@Joel Burman, yeah~ that storyline sold me on the movie the first time I saw it. I remember I was shocked and quite depressed with it LOL

I kinda love their version of Boogie Wonderland, so I got Brittany Murphy on my iPod. I wonder though, I can picture Pink doing the singing bits (IMDb lists her as singing voice), but I don’t know how her regular speaking voice fits Murphy’s.

Oki. I loved Happy Feet so much. I have watched it so many times. So I am certain this is going to be good! It better be

  4. Rodrigo says:

I hope this could be as good as the first Happy Feet movie, but I don’t see it being better than the first one.

The CGI seemed particularly good in the first one. The killer whales were very convincing if I recall. Not sure about this one… but – everyone is averse of sequels now, so maybe that’s it.
