Hamari Adhuri Kahani Trailer with English Subtitles

Well, it looks like feelings will flare during Mohit Suri’s Hamari Adhuri Kahani (which translates to Our Incomplete Story), a romantic biographical drama written and produced by Mahesh Bhatt on his parents and stepmother. A little bit Lifetime or BET unauthorized bio film on his part,  but okay-

Mohit Suri has a sketchy directorial track record- Aashiqui 2 is supposedly a little too much like A Star is Born (sorry, haven’t seen the film) and Ek Villain was -admittedly- a little too much like I Saw the Devil without the style (I did enjoy the villain build-up, though). What Mohit Suri has is the music of Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari and Jeet Gannguli whom -altogether- have been leaving their mark in modern emotional hindi soundtracks for the past two years.

I did fall prey to their music [1].

Plus, this is totally amping the ante in the acting department. Especially those scenes between Rajkummar Rao and Vidya Balan as abusive husband and wife.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is set for a June 12th release.
