Anna Karenina (2012) Trailer

A trailer has been released for Joe Wright’s adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina.

Set in Russian high society in the late 19th century, aristocrat Anna Karenina (Keira Knightley) enters into a life-changing affair with the affluent Count Vronsky (Aaron Johnson).

The cast is rounded out with Jude Law, Kelly Macdonald, Olivia Williams, Matthew Macfadyen, Emily Watson, Michelle Dockery, Holliday Grainger, Ruth Wilson, Bill  Skarsgård, and Alicia Vikander.

Anna Karenina premieres in the UK on September 7, while the USA premiere is set for November 9, 2012.

    I’m having issues seeing Johnson as a… count. And I know this is Knightley’s period turf, but I’m not feeling her in the trailer. This is Russian, drama amped to the tenth xD

    But it looks prettyful, I’ll give Joe Wright that.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY IS KEIRA PLAYING ANNA? AAAAAH WHY WHY WHY?

    I am seriously sad right now. Anna Karerina is not only one of my most beloved books of all time but also movie (as in every movie adaption of this book has been done to perfection). BUT WHY KIERA??? AAAAAHHH ;A;
