100 Yen Love Trailer

The first trailer for 100 Yen Love (百円の恋, Hyaku-en no Koi) is out, starring Sakura Ando as a hikikomori [1] living with her parents that finally moves in with a middle-aged boxer named Yuuji (Hirofumi Arai), whom she had seen while working at a 100 Yen shop across the boxing gym.

Though the story doesn’t sound like all that much, you gotta watch and stick around with the trailer to see how good the movie seems to be. Plus, fans of Ando know she rarely disappoints.

Now I’d like to see Ai no Mukidashi alumni Sakura Ando and Hikari Mitsushima battle it out on a boxing match just for fun, if you know what I’m referring to.

100 Yen Love is set to be screened at this year’s Tokyo Film Festival, and will be released on December 20th 2014 in Japanese theaters.
