Watch The Duck – Lost In It (Anatidaephobia Part 2)

Sometimes there are no words. The same could be said about this group. Watch The Duck is more… well, I suppose it’s more a movement than anything else. They take elements of hip-hop, R&B, and electropop to create a sound that’s as crazy and manic as their stage persence. Indeed, they seem to be a group made up of an Alice in Wonderland-esque drum major, two Clockwork Orange lackies, and, yeah… a duck with an afro.

It’s no surprise the group is from Atlanta — the group who pioneered the weird and fantastic, Outkast, being bona fide ATLiens. They seem to take a lot of Andre 3000 and Big Boi’s penchant for the extravagant and take it to a new level of intensity. They’ve ushered in this new wave of club music known as “trapstep” (a mixture of trap, which in and of itself is a mixture of southern rap and crunk music, and dupstep), and have decided to just blow the world off its stem

Their latest video for Lost In It is just as crazy as its predecessor, Freeodomville, and picks up where said video left off — chasing our young protagonist after she ran away in a tizzy from her own house.

As this video seems to be the second in a series, the credits are pretty much the same:

As unexpected as my path was to loving all things weird, more unexpected is my ability to get attention for writing about the stuff.
