Rihanna – Man Down

Rihana released the MV to her song Man Down on June 1st.

I for one really like the song and the MV. I think it fits very much with the sound of the song, the Jamaican influence. This is after all one of my favorite tracks from Rihanna’s album Loud.

Now, I have seen that the theme of the MV has stirred some controversy among some groups in the U.S. Silly if you ask me. The story in the MV fits perfect with the lyrics of the song.

If you ask me, I think it’s time we got over the whole controversy Rihanna dealt with and just focus on her artistic career.

Just finally sat through the video. I agree the song and video fit very well. I think it’s a great story MV. Which are getting exceedingly rare these days. I took it as an empowering message, not to actually go shoot someone, but to not let them walk away if someone has hurt you. Kudos to Rihanna for making a video that is unique. I like the reggae tone to the song too.
