Rapsody (ft. Nomsa Mazwai) – Kind Of Love

Rapsody’s second single from her debut The Idea of Beautiful [1] was released on August 27th. Directed by Kenneth Price and featuring South African songstress Nomsa Mazwai, Kind Of Love is a lilting tune that dares to ask the question, “What kind of live is your love that you only feel when you happen to be with me?” A question that Rapsody uses to ponder the kind of loyalty those who used to be around her truly feel now that she’s away, doing her thing.

The video takes place in Soweto, South Africa and follows Raposdy as she walks through the alleys and streets, interacting with the children and folks of the village. As with her debut single Believe Me [MV], the video is simple and unspectacular. Yet the simplicity is as important as the simplicity of the music: it highlights the lyrics and Raposdy’s message.

As unexpected as my path was to loving all things weird, more unexpected is my ability to get attention for writing about the stuff.
