Pearl Jam – Sirens

Pearl Jam releases a music video for Sirens, the second single from their upcoming album Lightning Bolt. And I approve of this.

The video was directed by Danny Clinch, who also worked on Pearl Jam’s previous single Mind Your Manners [MV]. Sirens — in terms of song and video content — is less aggresive than Mind Your Manners as we only see the band playing the song with focus on Mike McCready’s guitar solo (a great one, by the way) and Eddie Vedder singing. But I find the song very appealing because this showcases Vedder very well in terms of emotion and vocal performance. This is something I’d love to hear live… if I ever get to see them again, that is.

Lightning Bolt is out in stores on October 15, 2013. Bring it on, Pearl Jam!
