Michael Jackson – A Place With No Name

It’s been more than 5 years since the King of Pop has passed away, but Michael Jackson has become the first musician to debut a music video exclusively through Twitter titled A Place With No Name. Later, the video got released on Youtube and everywhere else, including the big Sony Video screen at Times Square on August 13 at 10:00 pm.

Jackson’s latest video is helmed by Samuel Bayer, who retains the desert theme from America’s 1972 hit song A Horse With No Name [MV] — which Jackson interpolated for A Place With No Name — by providing new filmed material of a couple playing out the song. Some of the archival Jackson footage comes from his Dangerous single In the Closet, [MV] directed by Herb Ritts and starring Naomi Campbell.

In case you’re wondering about America’s reaction towards the song, they are honored by the cover according to MTV back around the time when Jackson passed away.

The song was recorded in 1998 and it is the second single released from Jackson’s posthumous album Xscape, released on May 13, 2014.
