Matchbox Twenty – Overjoyed

The band members of Matchbox Twenty aren’t present in the music video for Overjoyed, the second single from their upcoming album North, which gets released next Tuesday.

Overjoyed was directed by Ben Boutwell and it revolves around the love story of a couple, but it is told backwards. The video begins with a pregnant woman sitting at a table with her family, but then it rewinds to the couple getting engaged, the couple as teenagers in the same class, and finally to the couple as children passing notes to one another.
