Laure Shang – The Star MV

After a string of promotional videos for her album Ode to the Doom [1][2], as well as a string of singles ranging from the promotion of a compilation and the main song of a mainland romance [1], Laure Shang has released a music video for the song The Star (小星星, Xiao Xing Xing) directed by directors collective YAMANYAMO — specifically Wy Chan.

The song was composed by Belgian Jean Francois Maljean, who is a constant Shang collaborator, and written by super popular lyricist Yao Ruo Long. The Star serves as the first single for Shang’s upcoming new album in Mandarin — maybe titled The Right to Light (萤火行动) [1], as well as the promotion of the China Environmental Protection Foundation (CEPF, 中华环境保护基金会).

The music video was shot in Hoh Xil (可可西里), a region in the northwestern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China known for its altitude and isolation.
