Jay-Z featuring Justin Timberlake – Holy Grail

The music video for Jay-Z’s Holy Grail — featuring Justin Timberlake, the chorus from Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit [MV] and Timbaland as the song’s producer — has been released online yesterday.

The video explores the limitations of fame using people like Howard Hughes and Mike Tyson, whose lives Jay-Z has a connection to. However, the newsworthy thing about the video — directed by Anthony Mandler — is that Jay-Z premiered the song exclusively on Facebook [1] of all places, but then it was uploaded on Youtube and other sites as well.

Holy Grail is the first single from Jay-Z’s latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail, released on July 04, 2013.

Who the fuck allowed Jay-Z to use the STLS chorus?

@Rodrigo, well that would be Courtney Love, I believe. Wasn’t she the one that let Baz use the song in Moulin Rouge? (Supposedly she wanted Kidman’s role, according to the internet). So she would be in charge of this one too, in theory.

Also~ JT’s Rihanna to Jay-Z’s Eminem LOL, this didn’t came to me until I saw the fire. xD I was like “wait, wait… this reminds me of… *shot of JT against the fire mellow singing* HA!” And JT’s slo-mo was his In Time lament. xD
