Brandy & Monica – It All Belongs To Me

Remember when Brandy and Monica teamed up during the late 90’s and sang The Boy Is Mine? [MV] 14 years later, they reunite for It All Belongs To Me.

The video — inspired by films such as Thelma & Louise and Waiting To Exhale — focuses on female empowerment rather than competition for a man. In it, the two women buy nice things for their men. However, when their men end up being lazy, good-for-nothing losers, the songstresses take back all the stuff that belongs to them and hit the road.

The video ends with a dedication to Whitney Houston, who passed away a month ago.

It All Belongs To Me was directed by Chris Robinson, who previously worked with both girls on their previous singles.

You can hear the song on Monica’s seventh album New Life (release date: April 10, 2012) and Brandy’s sixth studio album Two Eleven (release date: June 2012).
