Black Sabbath – God Is Dead?

A couple of months ago, Black Sabbath released God Is Dead?, their first single since 1998’s Psycho Man and Selling My Soul from the live album Reunion. And just in time for the release of their 19th studio album 13, the band unleashes the music video of their latest single.

The new music video for God is Dead? ponders life’s ultimate question while showcasing the greatest atrocities of our world, which lead many to seek their own answers concerning religion and faith. Despite the visions of war, death, crime, greed, ignorance, gluttony and hopelessness throughout the video, the most powerful scenes within the video are of the faithful turning their backs on religion as they throw their connections to God down onto the pavement.

Black Sabbath’s 13 was released yesterday and it is produced by Rick Rubin. The band has reuinted orignal members Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, but drummer Bill Ward decided not to be a part of the reunion and was replaced with drummer Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave.
