We have been posting articles and reviews for YAM’s Unofficial Animation Blogathon. One thing for sure, we do love animated characters.
And as part of the blogathon, we had the idea to point out our favorite characters from animated films and cartoon shows. For all of us, it wasn’t easy to pick just one character.

I like that a lot of the picks are anime characters LOL – and considering that in 2003, they has just begun broadcasting Knight of the Zodiacs in Canada (or at least they seemed to be broadcasting it like something new)… makes me feel proud that so many of us actually grew up (and are growing old) with Japanese animation.
Oh, I also used to like Tom Misaki from Supercampeones (Captain Tsubasa) xD I thought he was nice hahaha.
And Juan, I’ve met the voice of Daria… in Latin America Spanish dub xD, she’s the same dub actress that does the voice for childGoku, and Tommy Pickles. LOL And Shin-chan! xD Weirdest sh1t ever.

Los Supercampeones jajajaa Eso me tripea tanto xDD I lol’ed. But anyway! I see a lot of you grew up with Saint Seiya, makes me feel inadequate haha.
There’s so many great things about animation that it’s just hard to choose. I could make a list that goes around the Earth of characters. But Daffy gave me love for the concept pf irony, Duo Maxwell was my favorite character of one of my favorite anime of all time (he also said one of my favorite lines in the series), Carmen Sandiego showed me passion for history and art (and she was always the bad girl that escaped ;D she made me want to be mysterious…). Leela and Motoko are just role-models for me in terms of KICKASSness. Plus Motoko is THE hot chick. She’s almost everything I’d want to be if I were an animated character ;D Minus… the… prosthetic body stuff… and yeah. I like being carbon-based.

Oh I love this post! Just seeing the mentions of Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac and Sailor Moon transported me back to my childhood watching TV on Saturday morning ;) You should something similar but about manga/comics characters!

Can I just say that Daria could possibly be my favourite cartoon character of all time?! I watched the entire series and realised how ahead of its time it was…in fact, everything from 90s MTV was just different. So, it’s Daria and Aeon Flux for me. Eikichi Onizuka has a spot in my heart as well. :D
