The Future is Beautiful – Interview with Rapsody

You worked with some incredible artists on that record. What other artists would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Yeah, I was blessed to have worked with a lot of the artist I have on that project, Thank H.E.R.Now, For Everything and The Idea of Beautiful. But, there are definitely still a lot of artist I want to and havent worked with yet. Some being, Jay Electronica, Jay-Z, Method Man, John Mayer, Pusha T, Andre 3000, and D’Angelo to name a few.

I can’t wait to hear what a mix with Rapsody and D’Angelo would sound like! Speaking of your latest album, what was the inspiration behind the music that made up The Idea Of Beautiful?

I wanted to tell more of my story and get to know me more. So, life was the inspiration and to make a great album. The biggest hurdle was finding my sound, and once we did that, it was just natural.

I think you definitely accomplished that. Now that people have gotten to know a little more about you and about who you are, what are your biggest goals in the near future? Any long-term goals?

In the near and far future I want to do national and international tours, perform on Jimmy Fallon (LOL, seriously), keep making dope music, be nominated and win a Grammy, sell a lot of records, play my music for Jay-Z and get a Jay-Z feature (haha), start a charity organization, be in a movie, and so much more. Any and everything is possible, you just have to believe it and work hard.
